The purpose of the excursion was to: immerse students in Italian culture through food, gardening, and sustainability, expand students’ Italian vocabulary related to plants, food, and cooking, provide a hands-on learning experience in an authentic garden setting, encourage curiosity about traditional Italian ingredients and how they are grown.
